The 42nd Annual Missouri River Festival of the Arts is three nights of classical music performances, featuring nationally acclaimed artists, hosted in Thespian Hall, the oldest active theater West of the Allegheny Mountains. The festival is under the artistic direction of David Halen, concertmaster of the Saint Louis Symphony and Artistic Director of the Aspen Music Festival. (view more)
This year’s line up includes:
Thursday, August 24 – “David Halen and Friends Featuring Harpist, Allegra Lily” String ensembles perform an evening of fun and exhilarating music.
Friday, August 25 – “Jazz Great, Peter Martin, “Mixes It Up” Peter Martin and fellow string musicians join together to “jazz up” the evening.
Saturday, August 26 – “A Grand Evening of Tchaikovsky” The Festival Chamber Orchestra (with members of the St. Louis and Kansas City Symphonies” in concert for an evening of Tchaikovsky
